Adjunct Grand Masters
Of the Grand Lodge of Ritualistics and Research
Andrea Criseo
Adjunct Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Ritualistics and Research, responsible for national and foreign relations
Andrea Criseo is a Freemason who has been committed for years to promoting an authentic Masonry, deeply rooted in Tradition and in the ritual rigor of the Scottish Rite. He has held important positions within the Order, culminating in his leadership of the Italy District, which he exercised with balance, firmness, and a true spirit of brotherhood.
Born in the Grecanic area of Calabria, he has lived for many years in Lombardy, where he has combined his initiatic dedication with an active profane life, also engaged in institutional, cultural, and public representation spheres. Always close to the world of volunteering, he nurtures a strong civic and social sense that is reflected both in his profane actions and in his Masonic conduct.
Having entered Freemasonry in Milan, he served as Worshipful Master for many years and founded numerous lodges, eventually establishing – for the Grand Lodge of Ritualistics and Research – both the Italy and Switzerland Districts, directly contributing to the birth of all the Orients.
A passionate scholar of rituals and symbolism, he has devoted much of his work to the revision and refinement of the rituals of the Italy District, harmonizing them with the purest principles of the Scottish Rite. He carefully balances spirituality, emotion, progressivity, and tradition so that everything remains in perfect harmony, respecting the initiatic and human rhythm of every Brother.
Although he has been in Freemasonry for many years, his stone still requires constant polishing; with humility, he defines himself as an Apprentice — only with a differently colored apron.
